I find it easy to smile and laugh when times are flowing ☀️
How about smiling or laughing when times get tougher? ⛈️
I find it easy to get caught up in seriousness when life gets more difficult.
⛰️ While climbing up Mt Tibrogargan’s summit in Queensland last January, I felt anxiety and fear: What if I was too afraid to climb down? What if I couldn’t make it?
Halfway to the summit, while taking a water break, my body was almost paralysed.
But I decided to smile (when the picture was taken).
I have to admit – it was a fake one! 😐
I told myself:
- that I wanted to climb to the summit
- That climbing down would be a challenge for later
- That it would be fine.
I also shared my feelings of anxiety and fear with a friend. It really helped me stay grounded.
In the end, I made it to the summit. 🥳 And climbing down was actually much easier than my mind had anticipated and worried about.
A fake smile halfway to the summit turned into real laughter on the way down! 😅
I practice fake smiles every week when I am hosting Laughing Yoga sessions in Sydney, Centennial Park and during conscious events. Find out more: https://coaching.fulpin-maxime.com.au/whats-on
